Walt Messemer

Walt Messemer July 19, 1919 - January 2004


Walt was serving in the Army Air Core in New Orleans when World War II broke out. He was sent to what is now known as Edwards Air Force in Lancaster, CA and from there to Hawaii. Walt was assigned to a bomber squadron as a tail Gunner in B-29s, where he flew in missions over Tokyo.

After the War Walt played Right Tackle for the New York Giants for several years.

Walt was a long time member of the North Orange County Gem & Mineral Society and served as President in 1993.
